The sweet Italian sausage was a hit at our family's annual cookout. Don't get me wrong, I would have given it a 5-star rating, except the Esposito's hot Italian sausage I also ordered was just so incredibly good, the mild Italian sausage just didn't have the same YUM factor. Still good quality and I'll order again!

I wasn't paying attention when I originally ordered the hot italian sausage. The flavor is SO good but once it was unthawed I had to eat it and give it away so it wouldn't go bad. I'll know next time and there def will be a next time.

I ordered 10 lbs. of sweet Italian link sausage, when the package arrived it was thin link which I had never seen before. I was not happy as I was expecting regular thick link The thin link looked like breakfast sausage. When I contacted customer service, they made it right by issuing me a gift card.
I am very happy that it worked out well. I will definitely order again and recommend it to my friends.

Ordered online. First order arrived cold but not frozen. Customer service gave me a credit and I ordered them again. This time they were between thawed and frozen. I put into freezer right away. Have not cooked them yet.

I found the sausage to look good. I have not tried it yet. My 3 star review had to do with all the follow-ups I had to make about my order. It took numerous emails to get the order moving. I had to email help at least 3 times and the order delivered 3 weeks after the original confirmation that the order was in process. This so far is the problem I had and another reason why it hasn't been tasted yet. It missed the party I was having to serve it.

I was very disappointed in what was sent. Packing was perfect, product not so much. Expected link Pork sausage but received roll. OK no problem. The Chicken sausage was a surprise. I would never have ordered had I known that. Tasteless. Hope my dog likes it. Pork was very good but milder than I expected. I will stick to local Country sausage. I shall not be ordering again.

We received the package and it was solid frozen with ice crystals all over. We had to chip the sausages apart and the paper between layers wanted to stick to the sausages so that we had to pull small bits of paper off the individual sausages. We broke half a dozen sausages in this process. Not a good start.
We have eaten a few of the sausages now in spaghetti sauce and they were good. Not sure that I would buy this again.
It would be good if you sold smaller packages for those of us with small families. It will be months before we eat up what have already sent.

It appears others have all ready noted the issue with the packaging. Product is fantastic, but the 5lb box of frozen sausage took about a half hour to get it pried out and reapportioned (breakfast and sweet sausage).
Going to have to pass on future orders until I can get 1 ib cryovac packages.

The sausage was tasty and had excellent texture. I only wish that the three ropes were not frozen together and difficult to unstick from each other. Maybe an individual wrap would make it easier to use one and keep the others frozen. Overall an excellent product.

I had ordered the sausage, my second time and at the same time I ordered hot dogs from another vendor.
I am so pleased when I opened the box, the sausages were frozen solid. Like they were taken out of the freezer. I know they were in transit for 3 days, so keep up the great job.
My hot dogs were defrosted, warm and had to be discarded.
I will be ordering again, when I have eaten what I ordered.

Personally, I can't imagine Italian sausage without fennel, but a family member for which I was making lasagna has stomach issues when eating fennel. I was surprised at how good this sausage tasted, and there was almost no fat, also a surprise. I'll be back to try other products.

This sausage is very similar to the northern Italian Luganega that my family eats when we are in Italy. It’s flavorful without being greasy, the casing is crispy… feels like being in Italy. I have ordered it again and plan to keep it stocked in my freezer from now on!

The sausage is very tasty. Unfortunately all was frozen, and very hard to separate. Can't use 5 lbs of sausage for one dinner. Would be nice if the layers were better separated, so you can use one layer or two at a time!!

Really great packaging, sausage arrived in perfect condition.
The quality of the product is quite high - as an Italian I always wondered why "Italian sausage" here always has fennel seeds, which overpower the flavor.
This sausage has no fennel and it really tastes like Italian sausage!
The only tricky thing is that it's a 5lb box with three wheels that are all in the same box, so it's a bit hard to unfreeze only 1lb at a time

We are quite disappointed that Esposito's discontinued Italian link sausage without fennel. Rope sausage is not conducive to cooking in a spaghetti meat sauce. Most butchers will accommodate customers' needs. However, we will continue to purchase other items that you feature. BTW...your rep, Ryan, provides excellent customer service and should be commended.
