They were the leanest sausage we have had since moving from Brooklyn to NH..Will be ordering again..

The sausages arrived just fine-still frozen. We tried a few of each last night, and decided we would not order again. The spicy sausage was OK-back taste of heat. The plain Italian links had no flavor whatsoever! They were like ground pork with no seasonings. I was going to serve them over the holidays, but now, we’re giving them away!

I was really excited to try the sampler of the hot and sweet sausage however, it was so salty you could not eat it. I’am extremely disappointed with this purchase.

Was shipped from Illinois. Shipping Box wasn't taped properly and showed up half way torn up. The sweet Italian sausage was in its own box with plastic wrap around it, but had huge layers of ice around it looking like it may be freezer burnt. The hot Italian sausage didn't have the plastic wrap around it. It looked like the box holding the Italian sausage was so old it was degrading and the sausage also looked as if it was freezer burnt. I thawed 2 of the hot Italian sausage. It tasted ok. Just from the shipping, i wouldn't recommend it. The quality of the sausage was equal to that of Johnsonville. Save your money.

The hot sausage was good but the chorizo was not the best. Both of the flavors, the casing was pretty tough.

Great delivery. All sausage delivered NYC to florida super fast and frozen Sausage is lean. Tasty spiced right and im enjoying sandwiches and sausage in red sauce .highly recommended !!!!

Sausage is very flavorful. Packaging is difficult because the links are frozen together and hard to separate to make a few at a time

Good communication. Order arrived on time well packaged and still frozen solid with dry ice still there. We were able to break 2 sweet and 2 hot links. and hwd them with our onion, green pepper & mushrooms on a garlic toasted roll topped with mozzarella

I haven’t tried the sausage yet. They look good. Everything was perfect. The only problem is when they came. It was almost impossible to freeze the frozen sausages in packs of four or five. It was so stuck together.

Sausage was good but a box of 20 frozen is hard to manage. Would be nice if there were 4 packs of 5 frozen in box

I'm a bit confused....when the order for the sampler says you get two 5 lb boxes of Sweet and Hot...does that mean 2 boxes? or two boxes of each? I received two coolers of the sausage equaling two 5 lb boxes of sweet and two 5 lb boxes of hot. One cooler you could tell had been completely thawed and then refrozen. There were ice crystals inside everywhere and you could tell the cardboard had been soaked. I actually threw it all away because I was afraid it would make me sick. I'm very disappointed with this order and won't be ordering it again. And I'm very sorry because that's also my last name.

Received our second attempt at a delivery tonite. The sausage Sampler received today look perfect. Cant wait to try it. The first shipment was delayed for 6 days because of Hurricane Milton and UPS and in poor thawed condition. However Village Gourmet Customer Sevice was EXCELLENT! Response and Replacement was immediate! I don't want to totally trash UPS but...here in Martin County fl with the delivery truck location in Stuart Fl UPS in general Sucks.

The sausages arrived quickly and frozen. Unfortunately it is all frozen together. I let them thaw until I could get them apart and then repacked. They were a little shorter than I imagined they would be. But do taste good.. Packaging needs some thought!

Shipment arrived as promised. Two 5 pound boxes wrapped in cellophane. Meat is in links; required partial thaw in order to separate and repackage into smaller amounts. Sausage paper box and contents appeared to have previously frozen. Cardboard was marked and darkened with liquid, apparently from contents. Contents arrived frozen and with considerable ice crystals throughout, evidently from having been frozen, thawed, and re-frozen. Taste is acceptable, did not taste freezer-burned or old. No date of packaging or use-by date.

The box arrived today 10/15. The contents were warm as both ice paks were empty of ice. I am reluctant to cook since I dont know how long they were at room/local temperature. I am considering tossing the whole package.

I have not eaten sausage yet. I anticipate it will be great. My concern is the packaging. Because you freeze in 5 pound box, I need to defrost (and eat??), 5 pounds of sausage. Little/no chance of having a mix of sweet and hot together on smaller scale. This is a bit of an unnecessary dilemma. Any thoughts?

Well I was lead to believe this product was authentic New York Italian Sausage. When I received shipping notice I see it came from Palatine IL. Haven’t tried any yet. But my wife is from Stauton IL. Where I normally buy Sausage and Boilers from FEMA’S. Thanks

Delicious- great flavor and seasoning!!

The Items come super frozen and should be separated into 6 pcs each. I am not wanting to defrost and use them all at once. Even the pinwheels are frozen together not able to separate. If you had them individually package it would be so much better. I probably will not order again and would not recommend unless you wanted to make them all at once.

Some problems with an open package. You guys are working on it and I appreciate your consideration to helping with the situation .

The sausage is very high quality. It is well seasoned and definitely brings back memories of NY Sausage.

Was just delivered yesterday and not yet had a chance to try them. Very pleased, though that they were delivered frozen and well packaged out here to California.

Arrived Freezer burned,not all but alot

Sausages arrived frozen which was fine. However, it would have been much easier to store if the sausages were packaged in groups of 4 or 6. Once defrosted and cooked, the sausages lacked the fennel taste Esposito's boasts in their you tube commercials. It seems the sausages may have been frozen too long and lost their flavor. Overall, we were disappointed with the product and wouldn't order anything else from this company.

It appeared to be freezer burnt, plenty of ice covering the meat. The bite was rather tuff, daughter also commented that it was tuff. Flavor was good.

I first thawed the sweet sausage and made a traditional sausage, peppers and onions dish. I found the sausage to be very dry and lack the pop in flavor I expected. I grilled the sausage perhaps frying would produce different results?

5 lbs frozen sold in one big lump, who eats 5 lbs at one time, ya I pried a few out at one time but it would b alot better if it was broke up into more manageable pieces

Hot sausages weren’t wrapped and freezer burned

Well I didn't take any pictures, in fact I'm eating the last of what was cooked as I type. So heres my take on these sausage's, first and foremost the quality is excellent. There are no chunks of fat to bite through, love it. The sweet sausage was the best I've ever had. Before Esposito's I wouldn't even waste my time buying sweet sausage, that has now changed. The hot sausage was the same quality as the sweet but lacked that hot sausage flavor, still good but not great. The Chicken sausage stuffed with Broccoli Rabe & Mozzarella was good maybe a little to much salt, but that might just be me because I don't add salt to anything so sometimes it's real a pronounced seasoning. Overall I'm enjoying these sausage and will be ordering more. Also there's no need for delivery anxiety it comes well packaged completely frozen in a styrofoam cooler. Thank you for giving a quality product.

Excellent is only how I can explain both the sweet and the hot italian sausages! The hot is really not hot but just a little more spicy which we love but again both are fantastic! Shared with our neighbors and friends and the loved them!!

Not enough fennel. Italian sausage has more fennel. You have some but not enough.

They were good,look like been frozen for a while

Would help if rings could be separated with butcher paper to allow for it to be split while still frozen. I separate the order and vac seal sections for multiple meals. Thanks for your consideration and keep on delivering an excellent product

Reminds me of the fresh Italian sausage growing up In Buffalo, really awesome! It was shipped expeditiously and was still frozen when it arrived. Definitely happy with my purchase

Smoked the sweet and hot sausage on Big Green Egg. The quality of the sausage tasted amazing with a little apple wood smoke. Best sausage I ever had. I will order more

It came frozen in two 5lb packages. Not so bad for the links cause you can sort of get some out to defrost, but the rope you can’t. I cannot eat 5lbs of sausage at once . Can’t they put them in one pound packages? The hot is ok but I don’t care for the sweet

These should either come all links, or in 1-2lb size packages. I received a 5 lbs pinwheel of sausage that is frozen solid, so I cannot use it unless I want to cook all 5lbs at once, which is rare. Would be better if smaller sized within the package.
