The sausage looked like it was freezer burned. Disappointed the links were frozen together. Had to partially thaw the links to get them separated. Would love to order again if they were easier to separate.

at $10 a pound that Sausage is not even close to being worth $10 a pound that’s a four5 dollar a pound sausage. I’ll buy New York style sausage on the West Coast 399 a pound. You guys are the same style.

The order I received was a surprise I wasn’t expecting a rope I thought they would come individually because I wasn’t going to use the whole pack at a time. Didn’t need to thaw the whole rope. Beside that the sausage’s were great tasting.

I love the HOT sausage links. I split each, pan sear on one side ... then finish in oven--- Yum. Try placing them on a toasted Thomas English muffin with CENTO sweet fried peppers and onions packed with olive oil... SO very good!

The Italian hot sausage is the bomb, it’s delicious. My Grandfather use to make Hot Italian sausage, when I was small, he use to hang it on a clothes line in the basement to dry out. So the point is your sausage taste like my grandfather’s and it’s delicious. Pop was from Naples Italy, he came right off the banana boat. I love the rolled sausage the best. Keep up the good work..

actually I have not had a chance to try it yet, but it looks good. I thought that I could separate portions of the 5# rope to avoid thawing out all of it. I could not find an expiration date on the package, and since I was unable to separate the frozen package at all, I put it back in the freezer. I normally buy 2# of sausage at a time, so I have to really plan on thawing out a 5# rope. Any suggestions?

Since real authentic Italian sausage is not easy to find in Texas, being able to order it from Esposito's has been a real treat. The hot is spicy yet not overpowered with heat. It cooks great on the grill. The sausage arrives frozen despite traveling in the extreme heat of the summer. We defrost it s bit to be able to cut into portions suitable for us. Have ordered several times and will continue to do so.

I have both mild and hot and the hot ones are my favorite! I will say I live in CA and they barely made it here without thawing out. I suggest a faster shipping method. The dry ice was completely melted and sausage started to thaw. I would pay extra to insure they were still frozen.

I ordered the sampler,and was very disappointed with the sweet sausage,it just lacked flavor,and I could hardly taste any fennel,but I must say that the hit sausage was much better,and was pretty good,but nowhere near worth paying $9.99@ pounds.I won't be buying anything else from Esposito's,because I can buy better sausages at Restaurant Depot for $2.50-$3.50@ pound,

Sausage is delicious but packaging leaves a lot to be desired! All 5 lbs. of sausage arrives frozen "together" in a box with only a piece of paper between sausage links!
I can't eat 5 lbs. of sausage at one time! Was very surprised this came this way.
All other sausages I've ordered arrived vacuum sealed in separate 1 lb. packages.
Not sure if we will order again.....

I have been making sausage for over 50 years. Sad to say your products are not that good. Maybe because of the production process but the sausage is extremely dry with little or no flavor. After several preparations (steamed, baked, fried, boiled and in a sauce) the results were the same, including removing the casing. Sorry but that's our experience. Good Luck

Well. I already emailed and sent a picture in 2 weeks ago with no response from your company. I received the box opened it and the sausage was smashed and not from shipping. I got 8 nice sausage and the rest were like a pancake pretty sad to only take 8 sausage to a bbq I kept talking the sausage up and my buggy said. Thus is what you received I’d complain so I did. Nothing pure crickets. I didn’t pay almost $70 bucks for 8 sausages unacceptable!

The hot Italian sausage is very flavorful, juicy, and delicious. They cook up easily and are just hot enough to not be overpowering. I only wish that the links were a bit longer, as these don't quite fill up a complete bun.

The sausage is great. My only problem is with the packaging where all 5 lbs is sent frozen in one package. Since I can't eat 5 lbs at 1 time I have to break it down to smaller portions which is difficult since it's frozen solid.

Was a bit disappointed candidly. I think the shipment had a bit of freezer burn because when i unpacked the sausages there were a lot of ice crystals. Sausage tasted a bit "old". You could still tell seasonings were solid but the pork itself was not great.

The frozen rope of sausage make it necessary to use all at once since frozen very hard to separate rings. Once thawed and separated can you refreeze the one not needed now.
