Sausages are very good - I prefer more fennel, but very good quality. I would echo some other comments about packaging. I don’t mind buying a 5lb box but it needs to have four or five individually wrapped packages so you don’t have to thaw it all out at once.

These were so disappointing, very dry, no flavor, freezer burn and let's not forget the smell. They are hard to eat and the smell don't know what that is, but they ended up in the trash dogs wouldn't even eat them that's how bad they were. I should have taken a video for you to see. Now when a dog turns it down it has to be bad. Never again!!

The sausage lacked flavor to my taste. When I ordered, I didn't check if fennel was an ingredient. I didn't notice it, nor did I taste that flavor. The casing was also very tough and chewy.

No grizzle very good , but tasted old because frozen to long. Wish I could try fresh cause feel would be great. Had great local made sausage when fresh , if frozen over 6 months , they are terrible, taste old. The sausage purchased were in that category.

I tried cooking the sausage several different ways but, each time I found it to be dry and lacking flavor. It would appear that the sausage was quite old and may have sustained freezer burn before being sent. I’m reluctant to try the hit sausage for fear of the same results. I’ll give it a try soon.

The sausage is delicious. However ,the customer service is absolutely terrible and we will not order from this site again. We found another NYC sausage and meat store-Vincents. We ordered and we got our order within 4 days. Compare that to the 2 months it took you to deliver our order. We will be sticking with Vincents from now on. Also,their sausage is delicious . And they had everything in stock when we ordered unlike your company. It took me almost a month to finally get someone from customer service to respond to me. When you finally did you didn't have certain things in stock-Shameful way to do business.

I am very, very disappointed. The taste was not good at all and my wife did not like the taste either. The end result was the $60.00 box of sweet sausage went out in today's trash.
My question is did you ship an old degraded batch from the bottom of your freezer?
In closing, Bottos is the local brand of italian sausage that I will continue to trust.

Packaging was horrible. Rope sausage comes frozen together. No paper separator between the two ropes frozen solid. So to cook any you must thaw all of it. Just stupid. Who eats 5lbs of sausage in one setting ? Same goes for the spicy link sausages, I had to use a hammer and chisel just to remove 4 from the box. I would never order these again. Just too difficult to deal with.

I live in rural AZ and always had reservations about buying food shipped really long distances in the summer and spoiling enroute.
I was pleasantly surprised when my Italian sausage from Esposito’s way back East arrived in 3 days in perfect condition and still frozen solid.
I immediately thawed a few links and put them on the BBQ. that night. Man the smell of sausage cooking , leanness of the grind, , and taste were absolutely terrific. They had that perfect snap when you bit into a link. They made wonderful sausage and pepper sandwiches.
Needless to say Esposito’s has gained another customer.

I ordered 2 boxes. There was so much ice and hard frost inside the boxes they came in I kept stabbing the frost with a butter knife. I think they pulled these out of a bottom of a old trunk not happy

They sent me 5 pounds of hot links, 5 pounds of sweet rope. I have absolutely no use for the 5 pounds of rope.
I’m so angry I’ll probably never order from them again.

I used to like it when you could get a 5 pound sample pack as well. You got to choose five different kinds of sausage. Now I have 5 pounds of sausage I probably won’t eat.

Sausage roll arrived semi defrosted and made the box soft and wet. The fact that the 5 lbs would be one continuous roll made the consumption challenging since we will not want eat it all in one sitting.

Top-notch sausage's flavors of a New Orleans sausage purchased some time ago.These sausage are definitely a exception with grilled bell and Serrano peppers and curry seasoned onions on toasted buns .The 4th July celebration was amazed by texture and fresh flavors of all the sausages will be purchasing more.Highly pleased with the shipping of both orders received within three days and packing of the meat was great attention to detail the cold packing thematerials was awesome.

Since real authentic Italian sausage is not easy to find in Texas, being able to order it from Esposito's has been a real treat. The sweet is reminiscent of my grandmother's cooking or visits to Little Italy in NYC. It grills great, does well in homemade tomato sauce and of course with peppers and onions. The sausage arrives frozen despite traveling in the extreme heat of the summer. We defrost it s bit to be able to cut into portions suitable for us. Have ordered several times and will continue to do so.

Too expensive for what you get, not the NYC quality I expected. Sausage was nearly freezer burnt and came from Illinois. Flavor was about the same as my local grocery here in California for 3 times the price per pound.

I was so excited about getting some really good Italian sausage,but I was greatly disappointed.The sausage just lacked flavor and I could hardly taste any fennel at all.Ive owned operated several businesses in the past,and have used many different brands of sweet Italian that were much better,and much cheaper.i but better sausage at Restaurant Depot for$2.50-$3.50@ pound???I will not be buying anymore sausages from Esposito's,who advertises they are located in NY,but my sausage was shipped from somewhere in the Midwest???

I can't eat 5 lbs. of sausage at one time! Was very surprised this came this way.
All other sausages I've ordered arrived vacuum sealed in separate 1 lb. packages.

Sausage is fantastic! Just like the wonderful fennel sausage I used to buy in South Philadelphia's Italian Market at Fiorelli's - fourth generation sausage makers that retired recently. This sausage is the closest thing I have every tasted. Beautiful medley of spices and flavors. Fennel rules and it is so difficult to find true Italian sausage with fennel and anise. One suggestion: It would be great if you offered the 5 lb. package cut up into 5 1 lb. separate packages. I only require 1 lb. of sausage at a meal or if making my gravy several 1 lb. portions. I don't have occasion to use 5 lbs. al at once. To cut up the 5lb. sausage link when it arrives is difficult because it is frozen. I use a blow dryer to loosen it up a little then cut into 1 lb. packages....Just a suggestion.
